What Is Different About DEADMATCH?
DEADMATCH borrows game mechanics from Quake, the classic deathmatch FPS. You need to frag as many opponents as you can, using your shotgun, rocket launcher, etc. Most free deathmatch games are built on Quake's code. DEADMATCH, however, is using its own game engine. This leads to two major differences:
1. DEADMATCH looks different. It does not have that sci-fi look of a Quake clone.
2. DEADMATCH has shiny, reflecting blood squirts and splatters. Blood effects make fragging very satisfying.
Being a one-man project, DEADMATCH is much smaller than those other games. Anyway, if you like deathmatch FPS games, you may want to take a look.
